Course Details

The courses for both the 5K and 10K runs follow paths around the beautiful Grade II* listed park and gardens of Highnam Court, just to the west of Gloucester. It takes in the lakes at the south and west of the Gardens, and will also run alongside Holy Innocents Church, one of the most significant Victorian churches in the country, commissioned by Thomas Gambier Parry, owner of Highnam Court in the mid-19th Century. We are grateful to Roger Head for his kind permission to use the grounds of Highnam Court.

The 2025 course map below shows the planned 5km long, clockwise course in red (two laps for the 10K run). The course is changed from previous runs in order to better accommodate current use of the grounds. The run will start at Highnam Court Cricket Ground (Church Field) to the north of the map with a water point approximately half way around the course. The course route may need to be changed as the run date approaches due to conditions underfoot and use of the land, but the organisers will make every attempt to maintain a similar course profile.
